iRAD Technical Services Inc. identified the need for the ASP Solution as a way to help make PACS available to small and mid-sized facilities that could not previously afford to purchase and manage PACS on their own. Under an ASP model, data is hosted in a data centre and accessed via private and secure connections over the internet. As a result, the substantial infrastructure and start-up cost to operate PACS and RIS is significantly reduced, making PACS (and RIS) affordable for small facilities.

To offer this solution to you, iRAD formed alliances with three business partners. Advanced Knowledge Network (AKN) will provide private network infrastructure and the data centre on which the Intelerad PACS (for image management) and the Radiant RIS (for RIS and billing) will operate.  The system includes remote image archiving and information management and is the ideal solution for healthcare facilities looking for a robust solution to enhance and improve workflow and productivity.
