Brief history

iRAD is a wholly owned subsidiary of MICO - Medical Imaging Clinics of Ontario Inc. Since 1991, MICO has provided a one-stop shopping experience with exceptional customer service to independent health facilities, to purchase essential clinic products and services at competitive prices.

Moving with the times

In 2002, MICO took a close look at Ontario's Diagnostic Imaging universe and found that private practice radiology clinics (or IHFs) were ready to start moving from the analog world of "hardcopy" films to the "softcopy" world of digital images. After a MICO shareholders' meeting, iRAD Technical Services Inc was formed, marking a spin-off and step into the future for the company.

Operating since 2003, iRad has successfully established a customer base, marketing and selling:

• Radiology Information Systems (RIS) software and hardware
• Picture Archiving and Communication Systems'(PACS) software and hardware
• Application Service Provider-hosted Solutions (ASP)
• Digital acquisition equipment (DR) and Computed Radiology systems (CR)
• Servers, Monitors, Peripherals, Operating Software and all accessories such as UPS, Routers, Printers, Scanners, CDs, Power Cables, Foot Pedals, Labels, etc.

Leveraging knowledge gained from MICO

iRAD has leveraged its comprehensive knowledge of RIS and PACS products and MICO’s relationship with radiology clinics to deliver exceptional service and customer satisfaction at its PACS/RIS installations across Ontario.
Customers have benefited immensely from the successful integration of their PACS and RIS products with other systems in use. By carefully integrating all systems, customers have had the advantage of purchasing “best of breed” systems.

Following MICO's mandate, iRAD provides ombudsman services to find solutions that fit a client's needs, helps avoid wastage in time, resources and capital, and provides ongoing training and education through CME programs, seminars and workshops. iRAD's portfolio of products, services and experience makes it a true one-stop shop for digital and information management.
